Paddy is bought in quintals, rice is delivered in bags, trucks are booked in tonnes. Convert between them with your own bag weight and truck load.
1 quintal = 100 kg and 1 tonne = 1,000 kg = 10 quintals. Bag weights vary, so set yours: rice for delivery is commonly in 50 kg bags while paddy bags are often 40 kg.
1 quintal = 100 kg · 1 tonne = 10 quintals · 1 bag of 50 kg = 0.5 quintal
Bags = weight in kg ÷ weight of one bag
Small unit slips are costly at mill volumes: confusing a 40 kg and a 50 kg bag on a 1,000-bag delivery is a 10-tonne difference. MillSaathi stores the weight in one unit and shows it in the unit each person prefers, so the gate, the godown and the accounts agree.
One quintal is 100 kg, and ten quintals make one tonne.
It depends on the bag. A 50 kg bag is half a quintal, so a quintal is two bags; a 40 kg bag gives 2.5 bags per quintal. Set your bag weight in the converter.
A 20-tonne load is 200 quintals. Trucks differ, so enter the load you actually book.
